BULBULATOR MISSION BUGGED, NEED HELP

Hi there! First of all: sorry for my english!
I enjoy this game so much, I LOVE IT! But I have a big problem: when I put the bulbulator on the ground, in the hole, nothing happen. I've see some videos and it suppose to close the quest and clean all that green smoke, but is not working for me, even if I correctly place down the bulbulator.
I don't want to lose all my progress in my savedata for this bug, I don't have saved after tryed 30 times to place that thin on the ground, now I continue to ignore that mission, and I started to play in the new snow area, but I really want to complete that zone, what I can do?

It is just that quest that is bugged. There are no follow up quests. If you are able to go to the frozen peak, you are not missing anything. The NPCs of the frozen peak have their own quest line.
But regarding that quest:
For me, the green mist disappeared and the quest got marked as finished, when I put the bulbulator on the ground, not on the platform that asks for it.

The patch fixed the Clear Sky quest for me. I logged in an saw it completed in my quest log.

Virxzion, this is counter intuitive but putting it in the wrong place is how fellow players 'closed' Clear Skys.

I accidentally placed in near the spot but not on. Now I can't progress even though Rudy has told me to go to Frozen Peaks...It's locked and I can't pick up the bulbulator to put it in the right spot...what do I do now??

What do you mean it won't affect the rest of the game? I am stuck with this exact problem, but I can't figure out how to get to the frozen hills. Apparently Rudy was supposed to give me a key but he never did. I am not sure what to do now :/

It's been a while since I played the game. Back than, you could still go to frozen peaks without finishing this quest. In fact, you were able to go to frozen peaks before you even started the lonely hills quest lines. It is possible, that this has been changed in the current version of the game.
