Nightmare's kitchen: if you have unlocked all recipes, you will as you said only get petfood. I would start a new save. As soon as you have a kitchen, you can easily put in ingredients you know will make a proper dish. Creative mode is great for this, as you don't need to "pay" for machines, animal houses etc.
Thx man with the first two achievements it was exactly as you said - so i think the Devs need to change phrasing of that achievements as this should be "Cook at least 200 times"
with the Nightmare's kitchen you were right too but i can't do it in creative mode as i have all recipes unlocked - i need to do this in normal game
but nevertheless i did the last 3 remaining achievements :-) so thank you very much
Yes, the wording could definitely be improved upon XD Its currently confusing, and to be honest misleading. I forgot all recipes are unlocked in Creative. Haven't played in a long time :| I still have about 20 or so achievements to go, mostly things I don't do during story/normal playthrough, like tame 10/15 of X animal or collect from deer/boars etc. I usually never have more than 5 of each animal, and haven't ever upgraded any animal house.
