Flying Fish far harder than the other fish

The puffer fish is so absurdly easy in comparison. I truly wonder if there is something up with the controls on the flying fish for some more than others, maybe for those with slower frame rate like me the controls are on the frame time rather than physics. I don't know but I just can't reliably get the fish to fly and then subtly turn, he flops more than he flies and he spins and loops more than he glides. I'm actually giving up on level 3, it's literally impossible for me. I mean I quite enjoy some 'frustration'. But there is a limit. Hoping developer takes a look at it because I like the game but I have a life to live too!

you can hold the jump as you swim up then once airborne stop pressing forward and re press the jump.

Thanks, I am doing same but find that the timing has to be so spot on or he won't get enough height or will simply fail to fly and flail instead, back to the ground. I'll try again later lol. But still think the developer could adjust. I don't think the intention is to make take off so tricky. Flying is the fun part surely.

other hints i can give is make sure the fish is under water and make sure you clear the edge, i found it's a bit inconsistent. with the water physics.did some things several times on a long stretch never got the same same result.

The flying fish absolutely sucks, imo. The special ability works so inconsistently. I'll get solid air, hold LB+RB and literally nothing will happen (aside from making the sound as if it is working, but doesn't). Glad I tried it on GamePass.

Don't hold LB+RB just press one of them once you are in the air, it is like a toggle.
