It's okay. Very short, less than 2 hours. Explore a creepy house to find keys and unlock doors and escape. A few jump scares. I was more creeped out by the dress mannequins than the monster. A little too dark for me visually so I increased the brightness. I liked the crazy way the house altered itself as I progressed in the game. The game only saves entering a new chapter so don't quit until you finish an area and see the saving text or you'll have to redo that area.

So the game isn't going to be incredibly spooky so don't play this for the spooks. Play it for fun. There are some very clunky areas where you may have trouble traversing (the vent was an issue for me), but the game is fun and it's easily forgotten once you get past it. All in all it's a fun game and it's a quick run so you feel accomplished after just one session. It's easily playable in one sitting. There is tension, but those moments are easy to giggle at and nothing in it is too gory or disgusting for players who don't like the blood and guts stuff. Graphics aren't super detailed, so no worries about things being super horrific looking. I've played through it twice and restarted for a third.

At times there was some tension built up in the gameplay that I was hoping would lead to scaring the daylights out of me but I was usually disappointed. I recently played a game called Transference and I would suggest that the developers of Corridor check it out to get an idea of what good build up can look like. At the time of writing, I did not get far enough into the game (Act 2) to know if it got better.

The controls and UI are not standardized to what I am used to playing, so the learning curve there was distracting for me. This also spilled over into puzzle solving because it was hard to know what was expected of me as the player. For example, there were some small items to be picked up that were required for story progression but (realistically) very hard to spot. Without spoiling anything, there were also some times that a mechanic was unclear but was required to trigger the next piece of the story.

All in all, this game was entertaining when I was not distracted by my disconnect with the UI and controls.
