Kinda meh about the game.

I'm just curious if anyone else feels like "what do I do now?" is a question they ask themselves. I can't really put my finger on it. Just wondering if I need to wait a bit longer for more stuff to be put in.

Also why do all the ships feel like a lateral upgrade?

I gave it a shot, and i requested a refund. Not because the game itself is bad, but most of the content says "not ready yet" so its not available. Also it seems pretty slow and empty at the moment, just feels like you float around to grind experience to lvl up to be able to do anything at all. Hope game evolves and gets better later on but at this stage i just dont feel like its worth my money

look, i'm not bashing the dev. I was trying to be funny, because the game does look a lot like Pixel Piracy and i know that was a different dev.

it's just, after buying into that Pixel Piracy to find out it got abandoned and then right after that, i went and bought a game called Magicite from a different dev, which got abandoned shortly afterwards and then the same dev made a new game called roguelands, which was kinda like a spiritual successor to magicite and despite the fact that dev abandoned magicite, i decided to trust them again , against my better judgement and bought roguelands, only for them to abandon that game as well. .

I now know better than to buy early access.
or, if a game is already out of early access and i go into the forum and see people complaining that a game is unfinished, that's a red flag to me.
but we'll see.

Can you prove than it's from the same dev ?

I never said pixel piracy was the same dev as this. I only said this sort of looks like pixel pirace, so i hope it doesn't get abandoned like pixel piracy did.

the "same dev" comment was talking about magicite which got abandoned and then "Sean Young",the magicite dev announced roguelands and i decided to trust him an bought that game too, only for it to get abandoned. . but i guess he picked it back up later and "finished" it(?), but i already moved on.

Saw a video of someone playing this game. Look I love Stardew Valley and other farming sims but does a pirate game need to have farming too?

Someone's got to corner the cocoa, sugar, cotton, tobacco and rum market. I'd be all-in for farming if tobacco plantations and rum distilleries are involved

and for clarity, i wasn't being cautious because it looked like that other game. I was being cautious because it's early access.
I was trying to be funny when making the comparison, but it just completely whooshed you.
I stated multiple times that i know this is a different dev, which is why i'm watching this process instead of just completely writing it off.

i mean, i wish i could be 8 again. . a gen alpha with zero back pain and my steam library of 300+ games , where the only things i have to worry about are passing the 2nd grade geography exam, competing in the upcoming spelling bee(this time, i'll remember which witch is which) and making sure to keep up on whatever TF a Skibidi Toilet is. .
