How to change game's volume via DOSbox config file.

Hi all!

There's a lot to like in this game but, for me, the sound is too loud. And yes, you can tweak your computer's mixer but it's not my ideal solution.

I found you can set the volume for DOSbox.

Go to the game's folder (right click on your games list -> manage -> browse local files. Then go to the "base" folder and look for the .conf file of the version you play.
SF2.conf is for the full screen launch option (SF2-600.conf for the 800x600 version and so on).
Make a backup copy of the file and open it with a text editor (notepad is more than enough).
Go all the way to the bottom of the file and, below [autoexec] paste this:

MIXER MASTER 30
MIXER SPKR 30
MIXER SB 30
MIXER FM 30

I've set mine to 30, but it's your preference.
Most probably only the MIXER MASTER and/or the MIXER SPKR lines are needed for this game, but haven't tested.

Another handy little setting, edit the "pcrate" setting under the "[speaker]" heading to something like 11025 or 8000 to make the sound effects more lo-fi quality, like a little tiny speaker in an old PC case :)
