But if you wanted to play more of a "guns blazing" I feel the scouts, in combat, are less effective. Slower fire rate (but accurate) and the once-every-20 second insta-kill shot help for sure, but other classes can output more damage more quickly.
But in general, if I see there's a high threat level, I'm always bringing at least 3 scouts of level 3 or higher. So...I think they are more useful than the other classes.
Just wait until you get the Ghost lady, who is a high level sniper that moves at full speed while stealthed. You can blitz sniper kill the whole map with just her alone almost. She's great, just great. Runs up to one guy and cuts his throat from behind, kills the second guy while he's got the "whaaa" ? mark with a whack from her rifle butt, then sniper shot kills the 3rd before he can fire his gun. I loved her.
Crit shot is like instant 0 setup kill if ammo not issue
Only thing trash to me is distract.. its hopeless..
Btw all level 5 scout is like the ghost lady. Once scout are level 5 , they are fast on sneak mode and can easily sneak up and stab people.
Even in gunblazing the Scout still useful.. ensure it far from rest of your guys. Death zone choke point and get it to pick off high priority target. Even Tanks.
