Random deaths and desertions

What is happening? Last night I saved and logged off, right before the quarry mission.
Today I start the game and some random soldier dies. I load a previous save but the same thing happens. I load an even earlier save and again the guy dies. I accept this but all of a sudden a desertion and suddenly everyone is depressed and with very low morale.
When it all started everyone had high morale and only 4 people were at the hospital car (none of these were the dead guy or the deserter.
Any clues?
I am really enjoying the game but this is breaking it for me.

I've experienced this bug as well. Soldiers dying randomly and mine come back, only to die again a short time later. It creates a loop of ever decreasing morale. I've reported the bug to the devs and they said they're looking into it. Another poster said that at the end of the chapter his "zombie soldiers" stopped dying over and over again.

LOL, yes he died but somehow deployable in the last mission. ( without winter uniforms too )

So I just let him drive the truck then stay in the truck until the end of mission ( he couldn't use weapons anyway )

Hey there. This unfortunately still is an issue. The entire game went fine until chapter 8 (North route). I've had two soldiers randomly dying now. Frantisek Korb died while working in the hospital wagon, while being in perfect health condition. I reloaded and he didn't die. Then Roman Kutalek, who is in treatment in the hospital car at -1 temperature with a common sickness and full hp suddenly insta died. This seems to be a bug. Or my train is haunted.
