Supplies for the Whites?
In a mission where you're supposed to deliver some supplies to the White Army in Chulym I was short of one freaking medikit so I couldn't give them anything.

But it seems it didn't have any harsh consequences, they promised me help with capturing the gold train anyway.

What happens if you give the food, the ammo and the medikits to them? Because honestly I'm glad I kept my stuff, especially the food, my soldiers eat like crazy.

I gave them the supplies as I was worried about potential consequences if I didn't. If there were no consequences then I guess there was no reason to give them the supplies. There was seemingly no benefit to giving them the supplies either, they didn't actually help with the train at all.

I skipped giving them the supplies and still managed to get the gold train anyway.

Delivering supplies and not delivering supplies does nothing for "help with the gold train". They are going to help you regardless.

[/spoiler] The Man that asked you to deliver the supplies will remember if you did/didn't. Later in the game your provisional government requests a supply train for you but it never arrives. You investigate why, the whites "backstab" you, all hope is lost. He then shows up goes to you an states that the white army sees the reds as non Russians an as an enemy. Then stares at you and says you are also non Russian. Your advisor ask if he is our enemy as well. If you gave them supplies when he asked you to. He will say "I am not", and will give you some of his own supplies to you. (which is a lot)

Every decision you make matters. It may help you, it may screw you. Hell it may even do nothing but steal your precious supplies. That's the gamble you have to take, or not, it's up to you.

I like that in many cases the game basically says "you made that choice. Maybe it'll help you, maybe not.". Same for the altruistic choices--"maybe that soldier you allowed to leave to escorts those civilians will make it home somehow, maybe not."

Really drives home the feeling of uncertainty and the focus on your train's survival in the midst of a chaotic civil war. I love Frostpunk but the fixed nature of the game leaves a bit less to mystery, while with this one you just have to keep going east and trusting your instincts, hoping it all works out.

It seems that doesn't affect the mission about the gold train. But will it affect the final battle in Vladivostok?

Hard to say. I finished the game and in Vladivostok there's a side mission where you can get a couple of white soldiers to join you. But it could be so regardless of what you do with the supplies a couple of chapters before that.

Couldn’t help with the supplies and at the last mission two soldiers from the whites joined me

I finished the game about two weeks ago. I did every side mission, sabotaging the Reds and helping the Whites whenever possible (Even going so far as to save scum until I saved every white soldier on most missions). The only time I didn't help the Whites was when transporting the 'Mysterious Family'; I did not escort them to the designated city, instead giving them food and an escort when the Captain raised concerns for their safety. When I reached Vladivostok Captain Korolev offered me a few soldiers to help with the mission when I rendezvoused with his men, while Captain Belov was hostile and attacked us.

My theory is that giving the City supplies gives you the support of Korolev, while handing over the Family gives you the support of Belov. I would like to test this, but unfortunately I won't have the time for another play through for a while.

I can save you a bit of theory time... :) Bevlov is a lunatic and believes the White Russian propoganda you are an enemy of Russia. Whereas Korolev is a man of honour and repays the favours you've done for him and his troops.

At least that's how I see it and how it plays out.

Yeah Belov will attack you even if you turn the family over to the Whites.
