What do the two small icons that show up over items mean?
There are some icons that I don't understand the meaning of when you look at items you have in your storage car or while trading with a merchant. one looks like a box, identical to the bigger box icon below that says items in storage. It then has a "number(number)" showing up. to the right of that is a smaller symbol that looks like a box with a circling arrow around it. I think this one is the actual value price of the item per unit in brackets and the total sale price without brackets. But its really frustrating that there is nothing in the so called guide to explain some of these things, and no way to hover over it to get some tool tip telling you what exactly it means. Does anyone know what they are?

IF you hover over the items (I assume you are looking at guns?)
So, first off, for the "flowey/viney" image, shows the tier of the weapons. None is tier 1, one leaf is tier 2 and two leafs is tier 3.
The number of the box symbol, shows how many spots in storage it takes up, to make it easier to figure out what you might not want to hold onto.
The single arrow means you just want 1 unit of whatever it is.
The double arrow is saying you want to select a number between 1 and max of the items.
The circling arrow means you want the item creation to continue until you say stop, or are out of supplies
You are correct on the numbers in brackets. The far right is the price of a single unit, the left number is the price if you sell off everything of that unit

What you are asking is referring to the weight of the items. There are two numbers with other numbers in (parentheses). Example left - #(#) right - #(#).

Left one is about weight. Your train can only carry so much weight until it can move anymore and you get stuck. The (#) number is the weight of that single item. The bigger number that next to is it the total weight of all the same items together. Example, an artillery shell weighs 60 units. You have 10 shell in your inventory. So it shows 600 (60).

Right one is about value in coins. Works the same as the left one, just shows the value of a single item and as a group. Example, artillery shell goes for 550 coins and you have 10 shells. So it shows 5500 (550).

So you should see it as

Item name
Total weight (individual weight) Total value (individual value)
