Can No longer deploy an OG soldier

i dont know if the orginal starting crew is randomly generated or not but my heavy gunner antonian ive had since the very beginning. ever since the side mission in chapter 2 where you go to help a village and end up defending it hes not playable. even in that mission he showed up with his machine gun but was classified as a worker not a gunner. and started T-posing across the map. he was still able to pick stuff up so i wrote it off as a small bug. but now i cant deploy him as a soldier and i kinda need him. hes the only one i got with the haggling skill, and the one who can collect herbs. any one have a similar issue or know what to do?

The mission in chapter 2 you're referring to, is it the one called "Help is on the Way?"

If it is, pretty sure I had him in my squad and just checked - he's still deployable for me. If you're not too far past that, you could try loading save file prior to the issue but yeah, I get that it's a pain doing so.

You probably have the same bug as most ppl losing soldiers. I cant deploy some of my men and is grayed out. If you get to the chapter end and hit confirm these soldier you cant deploy will leave the train for good.

If there's a nasty bug causing issues with soldiers, I think I may pause the arduous journey home, stockpile some supplies and hunker down someplace in Siberia until this is patched. I'm too attached to my comrades to lose any this way.

same bug with one of my healer in the mission where you attack red army camp, she deployed in the mission as engineer completly bugged out and now that i have completed the mission she is grayed out, undeployable anywhere.
I wont continue playing the game until this is fixed aswell.

Hi, Hello, we're currently looking into the issue.

Could you please report the problem in our Redmine and upload there your save files, and logs? We need as much information as possible to get to the bottom of it.

So far, we think the issue is connected to the auto-assigning of soldiers. So, a possible workaround is to turn it off and load an earlier save.
