After you assemble a squad it also has all the perks' icons on the top of the card, specific for that squad.
Unfortunately I did not see any filters for that during squad selection. I just memorised who has what, like I had 2 burglars, one hunter and survivalist, and one housewife (or whatever it is named).
Like said on the previous comment, all the perks that your squad got once its assembled are shown on the top of the squad
I tried different time going with ou without out the good perk and yes, you should defenitly go with the good perks ( which can be hard cause not a lot of soldiers got them)
Also that there is a chance they will look at negative traits or extremely rare conditions like hunger.
basically think of it as a roll of a d20
something like
1-you f .
2-5 it looks at negative traits
6-12 you get absolutely nothing
13-16 event
17-18 minor reward
19-20 minor reward unless have bonus traits then bonus rewards
Unless I'm just misunderstanding what you're saying.
That herbalist machine gunner gets something damn near every time I send him out, lol. Dude loves his weed(s). I've got so much herb in my storage car that I could set it on fire and make everyone forget why they're fighting.
(granted you can just also save scum by saving before reporting in then load and get infinite chances).
same for me, that guy (Antonin Kura) pulls in a huge number of herbs which then later on i turn into food by making soup in the kitchen car, where machine gun guy is incidentally working as a cook. so i think i know whats going on here.
that herbalism trait triggered way more often than the hunter or survivalist traits for me. quite a lot of times guys would come back from fishing with no food (and i have a hunter and a survivalist in the troop) but only a bunch of herbs.
Herbalism triggers at lakes as well even though there isn't an icon for it there. I swear the number of times I come back with no food but a big bag of herbs is too damn high lol. I did seem to notice traits triggering more often earlier in the game but they still are definitely worth matching up. It means a couple characters are run ragged because (at least having taken the southern path) you only have one hunter, one herbalist, and one housekeeper but hey, what else are stimulants for?
It would be handy if the soldiers with the desired traits were at the top
Nice. A valuable and appreciated QoL improvement.
