It seems to be a constant triggering of work injury events, I've had several times where they triggered one right after the other until all soldiers were gravely injured and dying.
Now he was at 49 HP because of another injury after the blockade removal. It's annoying that I can't select who will clear the blockade.
Basically, if you see the broken bone icon and you do not yet have a medical car, you need to use a medical bag because that broken bone status is the real problem, not how much health they have. Otherwise they will gradually lose health. And don't even think about assigning them to work if they have that status.
edit: see post #14 below, Devilhunter has it worked out. Broken bone icon still bad, but not necessarily a death sentence without a medical bag (which in ENG are called 'first aid kits', oddly. I think the names for the battlefield medical bags (which in English would be more like first aid kits) and the strategic layer consumables are mixed up)
Gravely injured soldier loses 2 HP per hour.
A soldier regenerates 1 HP per hour when resting.
So a resting soldier can survive injury, but requires meds to be cured.
First upgrade to the carriage grants extra recovery of 1 HP per hour. Therefore a resting soldier can recover from injury without an external help and can survive grave injury, but requires meds to be cured from it.
Ah, that makes sense. In the demo I don't think I upgraded my soldier coaches so they did die. At least the upgrades can stabilize the condition or heal them slowly in the worst case scenario that the player has no med bags.
