Random maps?

Yes, the mission maps are all hand-crafted. The full game includes 40 of them and the average gameplay length is 40+ hours.

I understand the concern, I remember games that had handcrafted maps and you played in them over and over and over again. Replaying the same map dozens of times is not exactly interesting for me either.
That is one of the reasons why we don't do that. Across your journey, you will not find a single map twice.

Thanks for the replies. Does this mean the game has 40 hand-crafted maps, or that there are a small number of hand-crafted maps? The first dev seems to contradict the second one :)

A misread perhaps? The second post is saying "those games with small number of maps is no fun, so we make sure they don't repeat in this game".

Without having bought the game, how many total maps are in the game, and how many are mission maps?

As we already said - every mission has its own unique map. There are 40 missions.

I just finished it in 25h with almost every point of interest done :/

I think what most lurkers like myself are asking is, is it a "complete the campaign, and there's no reason to ever play it again" type game or is there any type of replayability factor at all.

I don't think I could get the demo to run at all, so I don't know whether I'd get it regardless of answer. :)

I said it's an average number. That means we know players who played for a longer time too. ;) The length depends on your playstyle.
