No sound... (RESOLVED)
The game has no sound. All sound settings are at 100%. Also, sound is working with Youtube or any other game, so it's not a PC issue.

The game doesn't support Soundblaster X AE-5 Card. I am able to hear sounds if I select NVIDIA Sound output via the monitor. Strange.

Well, I've connected the headphones to NVIDIA sound output socket of my monitor. Soundblster is not working with this game.

Had this issue before,

The Last Train home is clearly not designed to work with higher than 24 Bit / 192Khz quality, you probably modified the settings in Windows to 32 Bit / 384 Khz which makes some games have no sound.

In the case of Last Train home it will remove the dialog boxes in the intro and remove all sound.

Go into Windows Sound settings and set it at 24 Bit /192 Khz or lower and it'll work.

Unless you're literally working with audio (pitching down and slowing down sounds intentionally) there is literally no reason and no benefit at all to having a higher sample rate than 48 kHz. And even if you worked with audio, 96 kHz is totally fine for 99 % of applications. Running your system on 192 kHz is an overkill both technological and to your CPU, not to mention 384 kHz which is a criminal marketing trick used by some audio manufacturers/developers who just want to parasitise on people who didn't study audio and want to believe in "higher fidelity". Besides, no game will effectively work with more than 48 kHz. Yes, you can run them sometimes at 96 kHz, but again, no benefit for you whatsoever. You're only wasting precious CPU resources and pushing your sound card for no reason.
