But let’s move to the most interesting part – the new stuff we promised to tell you about (spoiler: no worries, your saves should remain safe and sound!).


The hangar is a new spacious area distinct from your studio. A new space with its own game mechanics, items, characters and commissions. It brings larger and more complex items to paint in game, and aims to bring more variety to the mid and late game.

=> It is unlocked shortly after reaching the 4th level of fame. You will get an email from a new character. If you load a save past this level of fame, you should quickly receive the email as well. It is also always available in Creative mode.


The gallery has been reworked and expanded. It is now much bigger, and has a new area with its distinct atmosphere and display mechanics.


The virtualizer is a new tool which you can use to get a copy, in your gallery, of furniture and other decorative items that you possess in your studio. For a small fee.

It is available in the shop, in the “workshop” tab.


The Omni Shield is a new tool. Its advanced technology allows you to protect any surface of your choice from being painted. Blow up those spray cans safely!

- The studio has been reworked to offer more space in the main area
- The corridor and elevator can now be accessed again after the introduction
- Unique items from the Story mode are now also available in the Creative mode, from the shop
- Shop: shorter and universal delivery times, replaced delivery timer with a progress bar
- Added step ladders in the shop
- Added 5 new pieces of furniture in the shop
- Lowered the price of many furniture items
- Re-organized the shop categories
- Updated lacquer sprays and added multiple cap variants (now similar to the regular spray cans)
- Faster running speed
- Various optimizations
- Cleaner canvases models


- Tablet support has been improved and should work properly with more devices / setups
- Fixed partially broken Journal UI for some screen resolutions
- Fixed some game credit entries
- Fixed some obscure PetBot issues
- Range of minor / other fixes


Your old saves should be compatible with the update, with a few quirks:
- Some items may be relocated during the update
- A few walls and floors in the studio (main room, downstairs) have been remodelled for the studio enlargement. Anything you have painted there (walls, floor, ceiling, window, etc) will likely be altered with the update.

SuchArt has been in Early Access for a year and a few months, and this period has been indeed fruitful: the game has 97% positive reviews, over 200k wishlists, and almost 800k players taking Creative Space into account – a great amount of work has been put into SuchArt, and we see that you guys appreciate it.

Heya!

You know, today is the big day. Or rather tomorrow is the big day, since tomorrow SuchArt will go live, but there’s only one day to go, and, I mean, it’s TOMORROW, so today is kinda big too. And big days are perfect for sharing sincere personal messages, right?

As you may know, SuchArt is being developed by only one person — Voolgi. Of course, there are a few people helping him out (including me), but he’s the true creator of this wonderful and inspiring game. Voolgi is fairly outgoing for a solo dev — most of the time you can easily reach out to him on our Discord[discord.com], he often replies to your comments in Steam discussions, yet his time resources are limited, and therefore I’m responsible for most announcements, Steam updates, tweets, and other public stuff.

Since today is the (kinda) big day, I decided that it’d be the perfect time to let Voolgi talk and asked him to think of a message he wanted to convey to our lovely community right before the release. And here you go — I now give the floor to Voolgi, the one and only SuchArt dev!

Hello lovely people,

I have been putting a lot of love and work into the game, and I do hope you will find it relaxing and fun to play. No really, I mean it.

The free Creative Space version got a lot of reviews (I actually read them) and feedback, most being way more positive than I would have dared to dream of. That is a great thing to see, and I really hope the upcoming full version of the game will now meet your expectations as well!

I am now flexing my code-muscles for the inevitable day 1 patch, but afterwards I will totally continue to work on the game for a while. We will keep looking at your feedback and, hopefully, deliver some content accordingly :)

We’ve prepared a short to-do list to make your wait a bit more efficient (and maybe even a tiny bit more pleasant). So, what can you do within the next week?

1. Sit in your room and count the days/hours until the release (yeah, this one is super boring, just skip it);
   
2. Wishlist SuchArt if you haven’t done it yet to make the game a bit more visible;
   
3. Take part in the pre-release contest described in our previous Steam update to win the full game Steam key.

For a long time we kept telling you that SuchArt would be out fairly soon. Well, that fairly soon has come — SuchArt will be officially released on July 14th, 10AM PT, yay! The game will cost $19.99 (local prices may differ as usual on Steam), and during the first week after the release you’ll be able to grab it with a 10% discount!

Here is what you can do if you don't want to miss the release:

Yep, that’s it — vague and straightforward at the same time. Feel free to interpret the theme pretty much however you want, but here’s the hint: imagine you can’t talk, and the only medium available to you is your canvas, yet you have to convince your friend that SuchArt is worth giving a shot — that’s what you’d want to paint for the contest. Sorry, no more hints. And, of course, the painting itself has to be made in Creative Space.

How to participate in the contest:
Upload your work on Twitter, tag @SuchArtGame AND your any friend (I mean, you’re describing the game to your friend after all), and add #SuchArtReleaseContest hashtag — all the tags should be present within one post with your painting.

NB: you don’t have to follow SuchArt twitter account in order to participate, yet we advise you to do so — otherwise we won’t be able to message you if you happen to win the key.

The contest will run till July 10 (inclusively), and we’ll announce 10 winners on July 12, which will get their keys upon the release.
