I cant Play, Why????

I just install the game but when i click the play button the game wouldn't start its always change to waiting and then back to play button again without the game running, can someone help me?

This was posted in reviews. A truly amateurish problem to have for an extended time:

IF GAME DOESN'T START:
Open Windows Settings --> Time & Language --> language tab --> administrative language setting --> Change system locale --> enable [Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support] (need to restart after setting)

Also, if you go into the game's install folder, delete version.dll. That always fixes this issue for me

That also screws up most of the mods, so the above solution is better.
