Opinions/Tips on Artifacts?

I'll be honest: I don't use artifacts. On my Normal playthrough I tried them a little bit, but their durability system and the fact you quickly outlevel them, coupled with the need to level up Forging to make them relevant... I completely ignored them in my Hard playthrough.

Am I missing something that makes them worthwhile? It seems like the investment to use them doesn't really match up with how quickly they get destroyed in Mythic/Cultivator fights where you would most need them.

I think I got it from a random boss spawn in Fallen Valley. It was like my 5th consecutive run in Valley before the boss spawned when I opened the crystal. Not sure how rare it is, but I was doing full clears for maximum soul lures. This was in the Jade Bird/Spirit Fox valley that gives Muqing, the healer Artifact Spirit. Hope it helps!

If you playing on chaostic mode, they are powerful and must have to continue forward, they are nearly strong as you (about 70 - 80% strong as you)

They will break easily, but some artifact spirits can be decently powerful, or even have passive traits for merely equipping them (like Muqing multiplying healing pill power by 8) that are useful.
You don't really need them though. And if you want them, you must continue upgrading their realm, in addition to the sheer grind for the artifact spirits.

Thank you so much. I've been searching everywhere for that stupid material. Never had it drop in my runs, but I'm only 20 in. Hopefully will bump into it later.
