Not really accurate. You have four skills to create synergy with. Almost all in game synergy comes from your buffs/debuffs. Buffs and debuffs almost all require some sort of interaction from their own skill type to properly benefit from.
Fist fire could be anything that wants to swap out a move skill for fiery flame damage bonus.
Sword Water could be anything that wants the extra basic attack procs from the clone.
the etc... is what? True damage Palm/lightning builds? Being invulnerable with Wind movement?
We have three, with only one that has an interesting interaction. That is the issue. The game is not complex, it just has opaque mechanics.
