If age plays a crucial role, then they might as well not have coded the mechanic. During normal gameplay you will always be excessively younger. The NPCs are generated at a high age according to later cultivation level. You can't make that up unless you decide to pass 200 years skipping time.
In all the mangas etc the master is never of the same realm either. Always higher. What do you have to learn from an initiative like you. That is where you would go sworn sibling.
I haven't taken interest into account, but I can add that as well and report back, but I doubt that it will matter. As I have tried with 30+ different characters already I would have been bound to have more random chances line up
Well I tried adding your suggestion. I looked for NPCs that aligned much more interest wise and external/internal trait wise. The result remains the same. I even grinded reputation to see if that might be the problem.
No changes.
The best match had 1 interest, External factor, 1 internal factor, same weapon stat and was only a realm lower. Same behavior. So at this rate I have no clue what it could be.
Having everything match up is so unlikely that I doubt that would be a requisite
I have a few disciples, I could have had more, but I prefer to have a harem of artificially created HCs to serve as my ultra-loyal personal army.
In short, discipleship, although it can sometimes seem complicated to obtain (it's like seeking friendship with an arrogant HC), is not the ultimate outcome of the game.
In xianxia type novels, how many elders raged while the MC refused to become a disciple.
If you're trying to make a disciple of an HC character...good luck with that.
Friendship with HC is not that hard. Just wait for them to need something for a breakthrough
How are your disciples agewise and did they accept the request or was it via elder/true disciple stuff?
So, I give them Boss-type power manuals of their map level, and that's it. Then I implant a seed into them to make artificial HCs.
In my opinion, it's still better than seeking friendship from natural HC characters, who are arrogant as hell.
