Mod Advice/Suggestions?

Yo, I feel like giving this game another go, but I never finished it the first time because it was so grindy. Don't have the patience or the attention span to do all that ♥♥♥♥ over and over.

I've read on the discussion boards you can fix a lot of that with mods? Unfortunately, the workshop for this game is a little...mystifying. Anyone got recommendations to get the grind to a minimum without having to type into a console every 20 mins? I'll even take stuff that's just plain fun.
