cannot launch the game, and what is melon loader?

I cannot launch the game (it auto closes on the loading menu) so I'm trying to do a clean install by deleting everything, but this folder is preventing me from deleting the game folder.

would verify to redownload what you've deleted then only get rid of the version.dll file and it will likely run without issue

Check your anti-virus software if it blocked any file in that folder. If it's blocked, then you wont be able to delete the file unless you either delete the file thru your anti-virus software or pause/stop your anti-virus software.
Yeah, this game has virus in the game folder.

yeah I think this was why. My AV quarantined a file from melon loader, that's why I was wondering what the hell was this thing. Seems like a mod loader but the virus trigger is probably a false positive. Wonder why the dev has to use this crap though when so many other games don't need it to run mods.
