No Shot at Illusory Bamboo Forest?

I'm trying to do the Reborn challenges, but once I got to this point I had no hope of surviving that nonsense for 30 seconds. I'm a sword cultivator, is that why my character is so weak? I also haven't played the game in like a year because the game was nowhere near where it is now and was mainly chinese. Also, were sword cultivators nerfed? I'm getting rolled by practically all the other Heaven's Chosen and they're laughing at me :(

Are you using pure sword build?I suggest swapping the sword motion to a wind motion for added survivability,aside from that better manuals should help you better

EDIT: Also, anyone know where to get the jadeware for that quest?

Sword build is actually not that bad infact sword wind build is one of the more op builds in the game

You may look the following screenshots, I think this is the quest which you want to do.
Kuafu's quest
3 Jadewares
You could buy them from any town, any city, any Realm or loot them in a dungeon.

About character build:
I'm currently playing Range Life leech Tornado Homing Sword and Range Life leech Phantom Homing Sword. I use both builds and beyond Blade build.
But that's not enough, you have to synergy skill options. Combining skill options correctly will give you great benefit.

For example:
My Sword builds without Blood power Rewrite Destiny. And you may wonder how to Range Life leech Sword build? (Need many screenshots to post if you want me to do so)
It's very simple, equip Sutra Mind skill with option "Every time you kill an elite monster, you'll restore X Vitality". You will be fine in a prolong battle. Did you remember Stairway Heaven - Nascent Soul? You needed a lot Elixirs, right?
With this option only, I could farm Stairway Heaven endlessly.

I honestly tell you Sword is the best martial in this game. It may be nerfed if developer wants to do so.

Shouldn't have to change whole build just for one sequence of 30 sec. That trial is really a ♥♥♥♥ move and EXTREMELY frustrating, ws having fun until them and wish they completely remove that. Guess almost no one will see it since i already see the achievements ratios dropping to a few %.

its actually easy
you can do it naked and never get hit once
you are probably moving when you don't need to be moving
simply stand in one spot and move a tiny amount if a red circle appears, then stay right there until another one appears under your feat
running around is pointless

Here is a way I did it grind some earth points to get its movement technique when you use it make you indistructable if you think getting earth fruit is hard try being a sect leader you will get them for free then get a good defence manual and max it out and also go to tarvern and drink to get robust body then get good health elixers and try to survive.

I don't think it's because of your pure sword build, just farm and get better mind skills. If it doesn't help, just bring elixirs so you can spam. When in the bamboo forest, there is basically no cd for elixirs anyway

Check your mind skills/etc.

If you play on at least Hard, you will need to at least somehow build your chracter up to late stages of the game. It really is not about which attribute you use, it is about your passives mostly. People like to rush the game for some reason then encounter difficulty lol. Its all about the journey not the end.

Check that your ATK/DEF mind skills are both of appropriate realm (your current one), AND have that one like "Increase ATK/DEF by X for each Y of Attribute/Martial Arts points.

Having these passives is basically all you need to finish game & be strong on difficulties below Nightmare.

Thanks for the advice lmao. I made this topic about 2 years ago so I beat that quite a while back. Now my guy is hardstuck at the final boss fight in the game and I haven't touched the game in months.
