How do you find an NPC that isn't tracked?
So, one of my partners was just killed and I want to go kill them back. But I don't see a way that the game gives me to find this NPC or even mark them so I can recognise them if I happen to stumble into them.
Is there a way I can track them and find them? Or do I just have to remember their name and hope I stumble upon them one day?

Well you likely hate them. Go to your relationship tab and then click your opinion. The one who killed your partner you likely will have max hatred of. Mark the name/realm and just go hunting. Likely they will appear in that realms main city before to long.

Are you talking about the relationship tab on my character's menu, the one with "family" and "social"? If so, I don't see them.
The one I can see is my "enemy" in the social section (not opinion), which has 1 guy that I robbed before. And even then I couldn't open his character page to mark him.

Is that not the right place? Or is it some other "relationship" tab?

Unless you run into them you can't mark them. You basically have to find their name and look at what realm they are and just check the main city in the area for the them. But if they killed your partner you should hate them and be able to check in the relationship tab YOUR opinion of characters to identify them.

Relationships are separated by peoples opinion of you (the default) and your opinion of people, which you have to click to see. You should be able to click to see who YOU hate and see them. Otherwise your character must not care much that their partner was killed.

To continue that if your character doesn't have the uh,...."family" and such paths selected they might not care that their partners/friends/masters/students get killed.

When you say opinion, do you mean the "affinity" section?
And by "paths", are you talking about the 2 internal traits that we chose in the character creation? I just chose carefree and protective, does that somehow make me not care about a partner's death?

Btw There is an Artefact spirt that shows enemies on the map.

When you are a sect leader, from the "members" screen in your sect you can mark any member of the sect. Not much, but at least something.

Visit Auction in main city of the area. When it starts, 90% of all active NPC's of corresponding realms will be there at the first month of the year (auction month).

Also a good way to catch your rivals :)
