I am not totally sure if they are always a Heaven's Chosen or not (only tried it a couple times and both times they were) but I think ultimately it is more valuable to get a destiny that increases a base stat. You can make friends/lovers through the years, but starting off with a gimped stat start can snowball into never being as strong as you could of been.

For me personally, True Love is Worthy of one of the three initial picked destinies. Your character and partner have a Max mutual relationship. He/she will always be a HC and sometime give you legendary manuals and resources. He/she is always Middle Way, Faithful (No NTR), and Rogue Cultivator, meaning you could play either Righteous or demonic and he/she will still love you. If you become an Elder or higher of a Sect, you can invite your partner and she/he will join you. By the way, you can marry him/her right off the bet.

No Everything that it provides can be grinded . Substitute true love with any Divine Beauty perk and you have the same thing , but even better because everyone wants to be your partner/friend.
Also somehow my wives have a tendency of just getting themselves killed within a year of marriege.

Nop.

Particularly, because as you grow, you will quickly outlive your partner (you'll basically have to gather ALL the items everyime you breaktrough, for both you - and your partner. It is such a chore.

And, unlike partners, initial destinies cannot be changed.

I hate that destiny when it rolls:) It is useless. Maybe only for some weird RP...

Heaven's Chosen NPCs are the strongest NPCs so ideally you'd want your Master/Student/Sibling/Parent/Spouse to be a Heaven's Chosen.

Not to have an incorrect input. If you win against a Heaven Chosen (HC) you can ridicule them and eventually they will no longer be a HC. Does that happen with Master/Disciple/Sibling/Parents/Spouse?

There might be something to take into account. My Lover got killed at year 11 and somehow at year 20 I found a new person who I had never seen before at my realm with 5 heart of relationship. So I kinda wonder if perhaps when your lover get killed another one doesn't appear a few year later at your realm.

ofc, it's ur turelove!!!! If u provide enough resources to her. she will stand with you forever and seek resources which is hard to find for you.

It's not overpowered, it's not bad.
The thing is, it's not long to get a great lover at HC.
Soooo, lovers/relatives are indeed of great use, but it's not hard to get them.

As a starting destiny :
- charisma
- agility
- travel speed
- perception
- luck

These on the other hand are not easy to gain, so you should aim for them.

In the end, if this doesn't matter to you, true love as well as attack or defense boost are of great use early in the game.

Sadly the only two stats that really matters in the end are Perception and Luck (Around 100 luck is all you really need).

If you want to RP being Dao Lovers then go for it. However as others have said, it'll take you two sets of materials to upgrade yourself and your wife (they will never farm a single thing).

I'd say that it's even more cost efficient to just get another close relative of your new great realm, that to up your weaker ones. And that allows you to get a nice foothold in the next region...
But in the end it's more about RP, except if you play on harder difficulties.
