Elder Dragon Sect

I'd suggest not doing the Elder Dragon Sect plot for new players. My reasoning is that it appears to lock you into becoming the Sects Master in order to remain in the Sect while also progressing with your cultivation.

The problem with that is you don't get to experience a good chunk of the Sects Competition Content as a True Disciple if you become an Elder or higher.

As a Sect Leader you can in a way manage the sects battle but you don't actually compete. If you want to have the whole xianxia rise from the bottom feel avoid it.

With becoming a master in any other Sect you can simply leave or migrate up to the next Sect as a Disciple as you cultivate higher.

I might be mistaken though, if anyone else knows how to move the Elder Dragon Sect up to higher regions as you cultivate without becoming a Leader then please share.

Wonder if by cheating (changing your realm and all that) you can force trigger to join… aka you encounter them and never speak again until you have experienced a lot of content of other factions then use a cheat to lower your realm, join them and breakthrough there

It would be good if you at least were GC before they tried to make you a sec master or if they went about it differently where you were core disciple for a while. But as is the first area's sect content is non-existent. So you don't get to experience it until the second area, but you lose the ability to experience it at all if you are a sect leader.

I haven't played in a few months so maybe they changed it though.

I'm doing an Elder Dragon run and imo the Disciple only grand battle royale which doesn't really do much other than giving the Strongest Sect in X zone which i don't really see any added bonus other than it looking like a decorative medal
You can still compete in Immortal Tournament as Sect leader, because i have been doing that ever since moving to Hua Feng and could still sign up and it's the only worth Arena content for me since you can collect Arena champion of all zones and earn the World Champion Title, which obviously sounds alot cooler than World No 1. X Cultivator, and if you're running the Gourd, imagine its Chinese Pokemon.

Also it sucks being the big boss because somehow both my Grand Elders are all dum dum despite being Heaven Chosen 3 red Destinies and can't manage their own branch on auto, they either let Stability drop below 500 or an overall drop of all resources and i honestly don't understand how Sect ran by AI never has issues but it all falls into our hands to manually modifying everything to make sure a branch doesn't go bankrupt.
Then i found out auto allocation only works if there are unassigned backup disciples and they will rely on you to manually allocate it correctly and its completely different on AI Sect leaders, somehow auto doesn't really auto for us but AI still can.

And the worst of all that they need to fix is that how the hell is a Foundation Late disciple in Yong Ning HAS A FRICKING 0% to do any mission!? Like what the hell, if they're higher than tier 2 at Qi Condensing or Golden Core, they should be in Hua Feng at that point, not to finally somewhat functioning in Yong Ning and its not even 100%, like who was the one coding this part, it makes no sense?

Again the balancing of resources declining is hideous as you can't possibly balance it out well enough for a steady overall raise but you must sacrifice and let something falls to the abyss. It was disgusting in Yong Ning but got better in Hua Feng since you can capture resource pool and let something dip on purpose because you already got mining stations to back it up. So Dev probably coppied Hua Feng and later zones balancing, pasted it on Yong Ning without any consideration and it was a god awful struggle to read every single lines of what things are declining, creating a horrible starter sect managing first impression, and again Disciples are useless with every single one having 0% completion chance, even a heaven chosen with beefy stats and Weapon Master has 0%, please fix it damn it.

Lastly, they don't allow us to modify Sect rules, like it can randomize on its own but you can't change it which makes no sense, so i bet they coppied AGAIN, the coding where they wanted to hard lock the Following Bug guarantee, WHICH DOESN'T APPLY TO THE MEMBERS AT ALL WHEN THEY ASK ME TO SUGGEST A FATE, and pasted over EVERYTHING ELSE, the rules, the benefit is just following bug and we're the only one getting it making us alot worse at Sect-ing than preset Sects when they have stuff like Low Disciple death rate. I was hoping for a gang full of Dragon master and do a Chinese how to train your dragon faction, but that ain't coming true

Lost a battle and she said “you didn’t die?” To me when I teleported… I smell a tsundere.

As for the sect bit… yeah I’d def go cheat and do that content later as it sounds painful

The Dragon Sect isn't newbie friendly, but not for the reasons you listed. The tournament is whatever, and honestly there's not much difference between overseeing your sect's involvement and being involved yourself.

The main reason not to do the sect as a new player is that the follower bug, while arguably the best destiny set, also requires an investment of five destinies and for you to rebuild/relocate the Sect multiple times. Also, you're stuck with just sword/spear books in the sect store until you destroy other sects for their specialties.

You need to be highly aggressive and also deal with the tedious sect gameplay for the destiny to shine. It's a lot easier to just join a random sect with the fruit/manuals for your build and not have to deal with responsibility.

You mean Meng Yi?
You know how this game works like if you die or an NPC dies, they turn into a ghost and get 2 year status of Last Breath that they can use body reconstruction pill to revive
Meng Yi has an RNG chance to destroy the ghost and make sure your target is dead dead

I think Spear might be automatic but the other Sect skill is random, my dragon sect started out as Spear and Water.

It's really sad that you can't change the name of these custom sects. Yulong Dragon Sect branches end up with names so long they don't fit in the UI.

I invaded the other two demon sects and ended up with 3 Yulong Mountain Yong Ning Branch with the same name
