And in terms of demonic or not, it doesnt really matter, there isn't so much difference.
There is, actually. Most demonic options for events will lead on you not gaining anything. While choosing the Righteous options does give you gains.
As for the reason to kill people, there aren't any outside of trying to steal something he bought in the auction house. But, honestly? Isn't worth the hassle, considering that it will only be useful for you for a few hours.
This. Also, you can kill people without playing demonic.
I suppose you could build a Demonic character around the -escape- mechanic, thus avoiding the major drawback of murdering at a whim by constantly being spam attacked by characters realms and realms above you.
But you will still suffer with being unable to utilize a lot of Sect portals due to lack of affinity, and every purchase at a Sect. will cost 10x Spirit Stones unless you're directly part of it. And you won't get any free Sparing or Debate events, or date events, or gifts.
So, yes, you CAN probably build a high movement Escape centric murderer to avoid being mauled to death by realm families and friends and just Run away at every duel encounter. But you will miss out on so many positives that I don't think being able to murder on a whim will be worth it in the long run.
There are a lot of cultivators in the world. All one need do is pick one's targets carefully. Find those with weak bonds (or no bonds!), preferably few in number. It also helps to not kill literally everyone. If you take down a mark and their weak sister foolishly comes for revenge, spare her. If you spare her, her mighty master won't come to complicate your life.
Murder need not mean mass murder. if one insists on playing the murder lifestyle, maybe consider not attributing that stance to every single character in the game.
