Linux Support for Frontiers Reach
Linux users beware!

Wayland support for Unity did not become an option until January of 2023 and at that time was still experimental. As far as I can tell it is only supported for Unity 2023 and newer and is not supported for the Unity Editor, though I am still learning more about this topic.

Frontiers Reach is currently built on Unity 2022. I have plans to upgrade to Unity 6 when a stable version of the engine is out. Most likely the LTS version.

The Linux deployment of Frontiers Reach was built in the early days of development and has not received much attention over the past 3 years. At that time I had one person who offered to do some testing and for whatever reason they did not stick around.

I have kept the Linux deployment updated as a matter of principle but you should know and understand that if you're using a Linux distribution that is using Wayland that this is still uncharted territory for Frontiers Reach and because of the engine version I'm using, not actually functionally possible right now.

An engine upgrade will be conducted at a later date.
