Mark my words, they will abandon AoE 4 before AoE 2. Won't forget what you did. :AOEHouse:

Your mobile concept is very misleading. its not age of empires at all. its the same as every other base building game. You slapped AoE on it to trick your own fan base.

And what's coming to AoE 3?

So, you are doing content for AoE Mobile instead of AoE3:DE...

Sultans Ascend was the most successful AOE DLC of all time. Don't think AOE4 will be getting abandoned so long as players continue to show up. AOE3 is widely regarded as the black sheep of the franchise. It's had the lowest player numbers of all of the games, it even had a F2P model in a desperate attempt to bump player numbers and it barely made a dent. If you owned this business would you continue to pump resources into the least successful product or would you divert those resources to expand on the games that players are actually playing and actually spending money on? Something to think about.

We know that DLC for AOE3 was half ready
TLDR...
Chinese DLC for Myth
AOE2 and Myth coming to PS5
"DLCs coming soon" for AOE4
and a bunch of crap for the money-grab mobile game no one likes...

Maybe you would've been better off just not saying anything?

It was rubbish. Literally the only good thing was it had several water maps which are much needed in AOE4.
The civ variants were rubbish. The new civs were good but had literally 0 development in terms of story, campaign, etc. And the campaign we did get was for an old civ. Not to mention, that campaign has 0 of the appeal of the release campaigns because it had no documentary-style videos or story to go along with it, making it incredibly lame and boring to follow.
By far one of the worst products to come out of Age of Empires IP
extremely expensive DLC for little content :wololo::ScoutSheep:

Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
So canceling aoe 3 dlc and announcing 2 dlc for aoe 4. Yeah good luck with that. Knowing how cheaply aoe 4 dlc are made they probably devide single dlc into two for the extra $

sounds like they were not going to make it in time with the content for announced dlc so they had the awesome idea to split content and increase earnings by making it 2 dlc. just 2 civs for next dlc seems weird to me.
