Also, Xyrr's comment is far from being true, especially when looking at AoE 3.

I enjoyed Golden Heights and Volcanic Island as 2 vs 2 maps. That way (in Golden Heights) you have a chance to control sacred sites and have access to gold. I agree with Dr Jo-Bob, it all depends on your starting position.

I am not good with ships, so will skip Migration. In other AOE games, sometimes when playing 2 vs 2 (Human + AI vs 2 x AI), my team mate failed to join other islands but usually both opposition make it.

4 of 10 matches the enemy is 10feet away from my houses... thats no fun, only sweaty and ends in flaming xD

Adding in more maps is always good.

Somewhat recently? Like 10 months ago recently? Lol.... If you think 1 civ takes 6 months of developement I'll laugh in your face. An entirely new PC game can be made in double the time -.-"

So you are saying getting bored the FCK out of 10 civs in almost 2 years is not okay? Guess what, Look at my achievements. I mastered ALL civilizations for more than 7 months now. I'm above level 180 in the game and I'm so bored I havent played in like 2 months. 0 new content, only these idiotic monsters and stupid baby challenges I make 5 in one game. Season 5 update was sorta okay because a lot of new unique units, but still, the same civs, nothing changes, meta stays the same, the entire game is boring and plain. New civs or some new campaigns would actually make me want to play more, but now I don't even care, I'm almost fed up and done with this game completely...

play a different game then we don't want you

AoE 2's first expansion came out in August 2000 and featured 5 new civs as well as 4 new campaigns. That was 11 months after the game's release :P
