Woman commanding 10 men in medieval period? Political agenda? No thanks get your political game to other people.

1. commader in trailer is the player(YOU) and many players are women these days. neither women or men were playing video games and commanding troops in said games during medieval time anyway so idk what's your point.

2. Delphi Sultanate(civ commander is commanding) had female sultan during game period just like there were other female leaders in history. Aoe2 has Joan of Arc campaign adn character and none seems complain it as political agenda during last 20 years.

Okay, so I came up with 5 female warrior names: Boudicca (not middle ages), Joan of Arc, Tomyris (BC), Cynane (BC) and Mavia (almost middle ages). There were also a couple of pirate queens. I am not familiar with the history of Asia much so I presume there were as well at least several female warlords. To sum up we have about 10 known female war leaders during the period of 2000 years. Perhaps you might name another ten but anyway it doesn't make much of a difference.

It is obvious what happened to this trailer. Crazy inadquate trends. It is just funny and weird that they got to AoE. So that is why people are talking about agenda. It might be really annoying sometimes.
what time is launch hoping to stay awake for another 2 hours to pass midnight in the hope i can get a game in before bed :D
I have to say this game looks worse than if it were made 20 years ago.

Literally just a copy/paste with hardly anything new with graphics made for cheap mobile phones.

What the hell happened to the depth and realism in AoE 3?
I am craving this game for the whole year...let me play already!!!!!!!!!
Still waiting
It's clear that they want to bring more women to this scene by promoting them this much but why does it always have to come at the cost of the other gender? Why do you throw your main audience and buyers under the buss? It can be done with respect to both.

I do not support this.

I'm not sure what the big deal is. Age of empires has always been a classic game for everyone. Having a woman in the launch trailer doesn't change what the game is about or how it plays. The target audience is people who love Age of Empires (can be any gender), not men exclusively. Manufacturing this kind of division is only going to shoo people away from AoE, not bring more to it.

It's more about the historical accuracy that have always been a staple of Age of Empires. Sure there where some great female leaders of these times but they never outshined their male counterparts and they where ALOT fewer, like barely 1%. So why would they put a woman there as a commander if it wasn't to promote women so they also buy their game?

I dont see this as a huge problem, only a red flag. I'll wait and see how they portray their campaign. wich is, without question made to be historical accurate. If they ♥♥♥♥ with history they have lost all respect.
cos so many female generals in early medieval age
Attack an enemy now.
i feel like there is something missing, i am not sure what... hmm, where is their transgender secretary, Rachel Levine, turned general?!
