Loading Stuck (FIXED)

Loading appears to just stop at roughly 80% complete, game hasn't crashed as the hints section in the lower left continues to swap. i've reinstalled, uninstalled and installed to new drives within my PC and have restarted several times. Game ran for something like 3 hours with no issues then this started.

After 9 hours of play I got the same exact issue last night which is persisting today even after a reinstall. I have only been able to find sparse mentions of other people having this issue and of course there is no immediately obvious way of getting in contact with AoE4 tech support to get the issue resolved. I am incredibly annoyed about the broken state of my game right now and am severely regretting the 60$ I paid for less then a day of gameplay

Same as u, there was a loading stuck when I was playing hundred years' war last night, then I tried to reinstall the game, restarted the pc, check the file by steam, non of them work. The game stuck at the start loading, even the menu that I can't reach.

I had this, but found a way to fix. Uninstall AoE4, and delete your Age of empires 4 folder in Documents before re installing.

will try this but wont be home tonight after the reinstall to let you know how it goes. Hadn't realised this was here, however anyone else facing this issue, are you also facing corrupted save files as this happened to me at the same time, might be some form of error in how things are saving to that folder.

Apparently the issue was some corrupted save files.. I deleted all files under datastore and SavedGames in the game folder under my documents: C:\Users\****\Documents\My Games\Age of Empires IV\Users\******************** and now I was able to play the first moscow game.

yes sorry been away from the computer for a few days, the fix mentioned above by deleting stuff inside the documents folder works, appears to delete some corrupted cache files.
