Can't place relic in monestary

Bug? Feature? Exclusive to certain civs? Also 4th Norman campaign wouldn't progress for me the AI just stood there until I realized I need to restart. finding a lot of bugs for $60 I get to pay to be a gametester great I hope they add the communist civilization soon.

How do you capture relics?

The description of relics says you can place them in religious buildings to generate gold but all I can't seem to place them inside my monasteries. All i can do is place them on the ground next to them which doesn't generate gold.

If this is about the campaign mission where they first appear then I couldn't either. It worked fine in the following mission and in skirmish though.

It's probably just that mission.

when the relic is placed beside the church and can no longer be picked up is it deposited?

Monastaries don't seem to have slots for relics despite there being a few scattered around?

Yeah i sent a priest to pick up a relic. It highlights the relic when I click it and the priest walks up to it but never actually picks it up.

Relics are completely bugged

I cant put them into a monastery or pagode, once dropped it cant be picked up again.

They are bugged.
I played a mission and it worked with two relics.
I reload the mission to replay that section later, i cant place it into monastery.
I order the priest to drop it (to possibly fix that bug), he cant pick the relic up now.

So TWO bugs:
Priests can sometimes not place relics in buildings (Skirmish and Campaign, all factions).
Priests somtimes CANT pickup a relic on the ground.

Thats especially a problem since some factions rely on relics, even heavily.

Having same issue. Played the Rus campaign and wasnt able to place relics in 2 of the missions.

В миссии Осада Казани на среднем уровне сложности в монастыре 0 слотов для размещения реликвий, на легком - 4 (размещаются без багов), остальные миссии не проверял.

I have the exact same bug... Can t drop relic in the monastry in the Rus mission... I lost all interest in the game. I am doing the campaign in difficult mode, and not being able to complete the mission because I have four (!) useless relics is unbearable.

This seems to have been ongoing for a while, and I have the same problem. Rus Campaign, 5th mission (Novgorod). Can't place my first relic in a monastry.

To assist in knowing when the error is present, if you click on your monastery and you've met any requirements and it says relics 0/0 (also heard situations where you have one before the bug so you get 1/0, then you know the bug is present. I restarted that Rus mission and I found I can place relics. I suspect it may occur on the reload.
Devs: hurry up and resolve this very annoying issue

One year after release and this bug still occurs in campaign missions. It was annoying in French campaign.
