Resetting the campaign in the gamepass version
Go to:
C:\Users\"your username"\Documents\My Games\Age of Empires IV\Users\"long number"\datastore

1) Delete the following files in the ...\datastore folder:

campaign.rlt
campaign_progress.rlt
coat_of_arms.rlt
flow.rlt
TrainingData.rld

1a) Create 3 .TXT files in the ...\datastore folder and rename them to:

campaign.rlt
campaign_progress.rlt
flow.rlt

2) Enter the ...\datastore\cloud subfolder, delete:

campaign_progress.rlt
coat_of_arms.rlt

2a) Create 2 .TXT files in the ...datastore\cloud subfolder and rename them to:

campaign_progress.rlt
coat_of_arms.rlt

3) THIS IS IMPORTANT. Make all the newly created files READ-ONLY (right click -> properties).

4) Start the game - all your progress should be reset.

5) While the game is running - go to all the newly created files and REMOVE the READ-ONLY checkmark.

6) Play the first mission and then quit the game.

Now all campaign progress should be completely reset. Not sure if you absolutely have to play the first mission - I did that just to make sure.

Works for me.
My idea was to create 0-byte files (the renamed txt files) in place of the original files. Then prevent them from getting overwritten from the cloud by making them read-only.
And when you play the game, then remove the read-only marker and quit the game, it'll reupload the new previous but not anymore 0-byte files back into the cloud.
