NEW DLC AND CIVS LEAKED!!!
A new leak has revealed the 2025 update will feature a new DLC: The Mongol Conquest

The DLC will include a brand-new campaign, with 3 new missions, 2 new civs and 4 variant civs:

- New Civ: Koreans
Koreans will get multiple unique units, like the Jeong-gyeong (a mounted bombard with area-of-effect damage and bonus damage against melee infantry) and the Turtle Ship (which gets +1 ranged armor on even days at full moon at exactly 4:00 AM)

- New Civ: Spanish
The Spanish will get new units like the Torero (who has a unique "Olé Olé" ability to taunt enemy Malian cows) and technologies like Paella and Siesta (which allows non-siege units to eat a plate of fried rice and go to sleep to regenerate health)

- New English variant: The tea gentlemen's empire Roger Bacon's following
Inspired on the teachings of the very influential philosopher behind modern science, Roger Bacon. Featuring new unique landmarks like the Buckingham Palace and units like the Pub Brawler: red-faced fighters in flat caps, swinging mugs of ale as weapons, with their unique abilty "Camon Ingerland, score sum f*k'n goals!!!".

- New HRE variant: Martin Luther
Much like Jeanne d'Arc, a new hero civ featuring Martin Luther, progressing from a poor peasant at level one to the new Pope at level 4. Martin Luther can performs conversions freely, and at level four unlocks his "Mass Conversion" ability, which will convert all enemy units to his side.
To make sure it isn't just a stronger HRE, their men at arms will now cost 105f 20g and be 2% slower.

- New Abbasid variant: Order of the Hashashins Nizaris
A new civ based on the historical-but-completely-taken-out-of-context hashashin order, which will feature the same units and landmarks as the Abbasids but all of it's units cost 25% more and have 75% faster train time. Also, the House of Wisdom will get reworked into being useful, but exclusively for this civ.

- New Mongol variant: The khan's legions Golden Horde
To top this Mongol Conquest DLC, a variant civ for the mongols, featuring the new Khan's Onager, a scaled-up trebuchet with area-of-effect damage that deals bonus damage against non-siege units, and a new landmark that grants you unlimited resources for the rest of the game but automatically makes you lose after 10 minutes.

Also, some minor balance changes are being added:
- French and JdA now get +250 gold with each house built
- Holy Roman Empire can no longer train Men-at-arms or Landsknecht
- English villager cost increased to 300f
- Zhu Xi villagers can now do kung-fu to instakill melee infantry
- Japanese spearmen renamed to "Kyūden no odoru otoko-tachi spearmen"
- Ranged units and nest of bees range increased 5 tiles
- Removed siege engines from the game

This post was made just to poke some harmless fun at the Sultan's Ascend bizarre and orientalist desgin choices.

I'm sorry if I got someone hyped up, we're not getting the Spanish in this lifetime :steamsad:

good one.
yeah Sultan's Ascend was a bit silly.

Ideally for my 4 pick, I'd like to see Norse, Celts, Spanish & Poles, though I could settle for Koreans over Poles, not my preference.
