attack where they are not
if you really need to, youll need cannon
If they got into your base without you knowing that's a whole new thing.
You counter them with ranged units, they have less than 4 tiles of range so all normal archers outrange them. 210 hp with 35% damage reduction = 25 archer hits, 15 crossbow hits, 8 handcannon hits (assuming imperial w/ all upgrades). Melee units will get annihilated, they have 10 armor.
They deal 42 damage 12 times, so roughly 500 damage per volley. That's the highest DPS in the game.
Countering them is about respecting the fact that they delete things near them, ranged units are the best thing for that. Scouting and paying attention to their existence also helps, you can always walk faster than they move.
To be fair i was distracted by the other opponents. The french player wasn't aggressive to me and was weaker, then boom that arrives. Was a shock.
Archers. Just focus fire it with range units. It has no range armor so they die really fast compared to other siege units. And for archers its easy to pick off since ribauldequin have very short range and within any range units attack.
Yeah, I looked into it more and turned out it was a fire rate on siege buff from the new mode.
