Buff english eco and PLEASE NERF ABBASID GATHERING RATE TO 5%-10% ITS TOO BROKEN

im english main. Yes english have cheaper farms yes i agree however if you go longbow spearmen you are most of the times dented by knights or springalds now XD... + you dont really have eco for wood to do a lot of stuff most of the times Its no economy benefits economy until age 4 without gold gatherins simply sucks. I have to do fast wheelbarrow to somehow keep it up at the beggining as it just sucks so hard. Abbasid can simply do 2 sometimes even 3 tc and still defend themselves or 3-5 tc on ffa and still defend... How is this even possible ? With completely broken gathering rates after 4 minutes? im not talking about research production buffs cheaper eco buildings etc. I understand you want to make each civ unique but ffs. Rus hre abbasid are op since day 1 and no significant changes at all.

Yes their eco isn't anything special early game, but in imp with enclosures you can camp in your base and print away. I don't see why English need a buff, I'm open to being convinced.

English is already oppresive and the most played civ by miles, no way. buff them and you will have ~40% english pick rate.

You aren't wrong. English is pretty bad right now. Even Beasty said so in his most recent tier list. The problem is that over the years the other factions have seen some love and boosts to their eco, but English has been mostly untouched. So while their cheaper farms and improved gathering rate might have competed back when the game launched, it just doesn't today. Especially in a pro scouts situation. Going 2 TC or just setting up farms in t2 loses hard to the gathering rate of a deer economy.

I mean, I main Japan, and it's a bit ridiculous that with my storehouse landmark and a daimyo tech I buy with free stone I got from mining gold i was going to mine anyway, I can easily match the farms of England, possibly for less wood, AND I'm gathering at 20% increased speed compared to their what... 10 or 15? And that's just the FIRST daimyo upgrade. By late game, I'll be farming at 60% increased speed compared to their 20%.

England needs some love shown to their economy bonuses for sure.

Ok, but nerf late-game gold income from farms, and nerf Longbow damage to be on par with other Archers (longer range is enough). And maybe nerf their ability to turtle to make opponents actually able to end games against English. One of the most annoying civs to play against for sure.

Abbasid has had the best balance through most patches. Nearly perfect 50 percent winrate all time, super balance

English. No not same. Imbalanced mess of a civ that rewards playing like a coward, hiding in base with cheap farm, attacking with long range while crawling forward with towers and keeps.

Only reason English winrate is < 50% is because they have 20x number of players

and not just cheap farms, cheap on every building with eco wing

English has like super low winrate on tounrmanet and 45% on conq+, even beasty said they are F Tier

So yeah, they were picked decently in mid 2024, but the drop off is before the pro scouts meta.

Regardless your point is null because the data doesn't support it. They were picked... and then the people who picked lost with it.
