Need help unlocking "All that Glitters" for the Mailian Mastery

When I build the Farimba Garrison and build the required 20 Freeborn warriors & 20 Mansa Musofadi units and still hasn't unlocked the Mastery. Am I doing something wrong? I have build the units FROM the Farimba Garrison.

I ran into this same kind of problem when I was doing a Chinese mastery for unique research from one of their wonders, I don't remember the name but that's not what was important. Basically what I'd recommend for you is to play a game doing more than the requirements like 30 freeborn and 30 mansa musofadi or more, win the game, when you win wait a little on the win screen, then check to see if not close the game, wait a few minutes, and do it over again. I don't know the cause if it's related to the game syncing with some server or if it's just a matter of closing a completed game out too quickly before the system that checks if you've completed an achievement is done, but just be really thorough.

Having the same issue. Produced way more Freeborn and Musofadi warriors than supposedly required, but no dice. Maybe the mastery is bugged? I think it used to be "train 20 Freeborn & Musofadi from Farimba, spending only gold," but a recent update changed the training costs.

I agre. I've tried multiple times and also saw the "using only gold" as a previous requirement, but now there is no way to build with only gold. Maybe a bug or oversight we will have to wait on an update

I went to discord. Some users were also dealing with the same issue. They pretty much said the devs would patch the problem in the future.

i know what mastery youre talking about for the chinese and i ran in to the same issues. i had to wait to do any unit research until the end and research it all in the Spirit Way or it would not let you have the Mastery. right now im having the same issue with the Malians and im mostly commenting to keep tabs on this

Tried the All That Glitters mastery tonight. Produced at least 40 of each (Freeborn and Mansa Musofadi). No mastery. What gives?

Same issue for me, "All that glitters" does NOT unlock despite making more than the required unit count.

It's insanely sad when their own achievements and/or masteries don't work. I've had issues with several, the chinese one mentioned(if that's the fix that's bs), rus bounty(which i guess is fixed now), event achievements not working for a few months if not longer, winter special event crashing to desktop within 1 minute, and 1 other mastery that I can't recall but it wasn't Malian. The game still feels like early access imo, quite pitiful... Kind of wish I could refund this pos at this point and just play older AoE or Starcraft 2 when I feel like RTS.

Just an update: Still no fix. Just tried twice, producing 40x of each. Who knows when it will be patched

I think your best bet would be to go to the official forums here: https://forums.ageofempires.com/c/age-of-empires-iv/184

Or just google Age of Empires Forums and then navigate to Age of Empires 4. From there you can make a ticket directly with their support team. I looked and it doesn't look like their dev/support team is active here, even in the bugs area. There are people there experiencing the same issue and the answer seems to be that support knows, but it can't hurt to make a support ticket.

I did it today with no issues in Sandbox mode. 20 Freeborn first, then 20 Musofadi, then 5 more Freeborn and 5 more Musofadi to be sure and it worked.

I tried this and it didn't work? I just did skirmish -> game mode (sandbox) and made the units exactly as you said then quit the match (since there is no winning in sandbox). Should I have done something different?
