Hello, I'm no one.
The AoE series traditionally is both and it would be a bad move for Age 4 to "deny" its roots.
AoE 2 has over 30 now
wtf is wrong with devs....
How many years since AoE2 release ?
I would say, that even the "classic" RTS genre (Warcraft, Starcraft, Command&Conquer etc..) in general is traditionally both Singleplayer and Multiplayer
Yea, especially C&C with its trademark FMV cutscenes.
I would "highlight" Starcraft, many people "blame" Starcraft for e-sport and multiplayer, and it has best SP campaigns - Starcraft 1 has best sci-fi horror / space opera story and Starcraft 2 has best designated SP campaign within RTS genre IMO
The point is, that expansion should not solely focus on Singleplayer or Multiplayer.
It should add solid SP / Co-Op campaign and new civilisations for multiplayer / skirmish. Simple.
Chronicles: Battle for Greece is really good, I would say , one of best campaign in Age of Empires serries in general. Yes, they should use this concept/ production for AoE4
The Sultans Ascend has good and interesting campaign, but it has very specific mission design, the developers did not use "classic" "build & destroy" missions, but experiment with unique ideas... which is interesting, but not best AoE game
I would rework AoE2 Mali campaign into AoE4...
Anyway, AoE2 has a lot of campaigns, but not the best, most of the are badly balanced - same missions are too easy or too hard. You can notice, that AoE2 has very low % for campaign completion.
4 (+1 tutorial) campaigns on release in 1999
4 more with expansion in 2000
13 year gap
28 campaigns added in dlc content since then
Come on now son, don't make me pull out the abacus
You mean what YOU need badly. AoE4 is doing fine.
do you even play the game? you seem to just make alt accounts on steam to spam misinformation about the game
