Remapping keys

It drove me nuts to have to use the arrow keys on the right side of the keyboard or having to mouse to the edge to pan my camera, so I changed the camera pan to wasd controls. Now I want to re-map my attack move option, but there's nowhere to do it. Is there a trick I'm missing? I see attack ping in chat but no option to re-map attack move for units.

If you don't have some sort of condition which prevents you from playing normally I suggest to revert your changes and adapt to panning with mouse moving to the edge, like all normal people do in every RTS.

If you do have a medical condition, then sadly for now there is no way to do that through the game's settings. I know that some people were able to tinker config files to change some hotkeys that are not remappable in the game (I believe it was about Alt key), but I've failed at finding this post.

All "normal" people don't do this... Lots use WASD actually.

In every other RTS I've ever played I could scroll with WASD. Most 'normal' people are used to moving with these keys. But hey thanks for the nonsensical moronic post.

ALT+WASD to move the map by default. It's a little clunky, but it's the best option I found, at least.

Nah bro, WASD is the defacto standard since the beginning of gaming. Your "normal" is pretty abnormal. But whatever, have a good life insulting people for thinking differently than you do

I bound WASD to camera movement and then rebound the grid shortcuts :
Q Ctrl+W Ctrl+E Ctrl+R T
E R Ctrl+D F G
Z X C V Suprr

So it follows the normal grid, I just added Ctrl as a modifier for certain keys; except for E and R that I put at the spot for Attack and Stop movement. Because they are super useful.

Only downside with my config is that to use shortcut to make buildings is harder.

So yeah leaving this here if it can give you inspiration.

Basically there's 2 submenus to change shortcuts one is the grid and the other other is the rest of the shortcuts.

No, you are not normal. You can search different RTSs POV (eg. W3 / SC2) on youtube, or google the majoritys take on WASD in RTS. Fun fact, Hera used to get joked at using WASD until he abandoned that in DE.

And dont get me wrong, Im not defending Relic in the slightest. Heck Ive been bashing the lack of hotkey customization since day 1.

Im just saying. WASD in RTS is not normal, not at all.

I've used WASD in RTS's for years, I have all my hotkeys mapped to my mouse via Ghub Macros. -- I literally have not had an issue with hotkeys in this game at all. As it is, I barely rely on in game keybinds, I do it all out of game.
