It's a one-way street.
All I see is artist spamming "seasonal" content and "seasonal" "challenge"
They are not fun
You know what is fun relic, some proper new content, like new map, new faction, new unit, new mechanic,
A theory I have is maybe Microsoft will buy them out but I think Relic would refuse that. It would make sense since MS owns the AoE IP and the other two dev studios that work on AoE pretty much exclusively, Worlds Edge and Forgotten Realms. Owning Relic then consolidating the companies to focus on Age games seems like a possibly to me.
I hope so
There is no future for this game, nor for the retarded devs and designers in this stupid relic company.
+ time zone difference.
I wish it was but in general, you can safely ignore and laugh at people that try to use "woke" as a legit argument.

As for the real problem, I feel Microsoft really doesn't know how to promote their games as they essentially treat them like their office products i.e. they automatically assume that players will buy them anyway, or at best subscribe to Gamepass, much like Office has been available in a subscription for years now.
That's not an AoE 4 exclusive phenomenom, it also applies to AoE 3 and 2 as well and also to the rest of the MS gaming division. Just look how there was minimal to no marketing to Hellblade 2 prior to its release.
Games live by their interactivity, so as a developer/publisher you have to actively communicate with your playerbase.
I think Paradox Interactive are the best example there given how often they do Dev Diaries for the games they work on (HoI 4, EU4, Stellaris, CK3 and Vic 3).
pretty sad it never lived up to the hype, but thats what you get with games these days.
Source?
its the third most played RTS and IMO its more enjoyable to watch/play than sc2. and people have been saying sc2 is dead for over 10 years lmao
