double lettering in steam overlay while in Age of Empires 4

hello, idk if anyone else has gotten these issues before but when ever i try to type in the steam overlay in aoe 4 it double types the letter. idk why i checked and verified the files there was a 14 gb update. when i went back into the game i still did it. i also tried it out on a different game and it didn't happen. is anyone else having these issues?

Not just double, sometimes more for me. and until now cant find a fix

That's a bug related to the new steam client / appearance changes they did a few months back.

The steam overlay is bugged massively eversince.

That is not Steam's fault. No other game does that. The bug is still there btw, it's really annoying.
