Anyone Playing AoE4 on Steam Deck?
If so, how is it? Do you play regularly or mostly on your Deck? Any issues or settings to be aware of? Are you able to/do you play online multiplayer matches (ranked or otherwise) without issue? Do you find it fairly easy to get comfortable with playing AoE4 on your Deck?

Thank you

No one plays on Deck?

I don't but some people do. I play on LInux tho, so pretty much similar.
You may have problem with multiplayer games by default (error about sync iirc) but it's easily fixed with a script: https://gist.github.com/reneklacan/7825b82723bf0534cbd2eae014e121ca

another guide that might help maybe:

Yea it's pretty great actually, I've played tons of Crusader Kings 3 and etc on Deck and I love it.

Well...
Crusader Kings 3 is completely different type of game than Age of Empires 4

Did I say otherwise? Where did I say they were the same?

They don't have to be similar to both be RTS, you realize that right?

For single player, yes you can.
For multiplayer I would not recommend it. Even if you get it working, there is always the risk of getting banned.

That's unfortunate about the multiplayer, I'm guessing because of the Proton layer & EAC?

Yes, both are real time, but it is irelevant, gameplay is completetly different genre,

To be understable - You compare incomparable

You realize that right?

I didn't compare them. If you actually read the post I was responding to, the user asked "RTS on a handheld? Do you play RTS on touchpad?"

He didn't say anything about AoE4, he said RTS.

Crusader Kings 3 is an RTS, whether you like it or not.

Thanks so much though for your incredibly significant and crucial input, it was so necessary here.

The user asked about RTS and means RTS where player controls units , buildings etc

Crusader Kings 3 is real time, but it is completely different type game, and You bring it "to the table" with RTS on a handheld. That is the point here.

Crusader Kings 3 is absolutely a RTS game. It doesn't matter in the least if it's a "different type of RTS," it is still a RTS. Your lame little attempts to quibble about this with me time and again are ridiculous, silly, and completely unnecessary.

The user asked me about RTS on handheld. He didn't ask you and it's a little odd that you're attempting to speak for him and to assume he was talking about 1 particular game when he didn't say that.

You're not right and you're not going to be. I'm not sure why you feel compelled to be annoying about this but it's time to let it go. Great job trying to derail my thread with your unnecessary, irritating, and most importantly, erroneous contributions.

Yes, Crusader Kings 3 is absolutely played as Age of Empires, Command and Conquer or Warcraft.
And You absolutely understand the differences in game concept / style :D

You can consider it, that I am trying to help You

...and Thank You for the points :WH3_skragHapp:
