What are your favourite (and why) shield, fighter and polearm units ?

1) Heavy Cavalry - very strong in attack, only bad vs spearmen.

2) Spearmen - very strong in defense, only bad vs archers and men at arms.

3) Mangonel - very strong vs group of units, bad vs springalds and horses.

4) Crossbowmen - one of the best ranged units, but bad vs horsemen and not wins cheap archers or spearmen.

5) Man at arms - very slow, but very durable, good vs cheap archers and spearmen.
