How?
the game costs 40$
yeah and you insisted on buying it off steam rather than ''shady'' discount sites, right?
That's kinda on you my man. I paid I think 50$ and that was at release all included edition.
And to answer directly this thread, I think it's gonna be minimum 30$, there seem to be an overhaul of the zoom lvls aka the engine so I am expecting a hefty charge for that alone.
Regardless of how much the dlc is going to cost I still think that AoE II: DE is definitely the best. AoE IV does not even come close to being as good as AoE II: DE especially for multiplayer. At least some people for example complain about the spammed rams being too easy of a way to win on multiplayer even against players who are pros at booming quickly and this is especially true for "ranked multiplayer". Multiplayer on AoE IV is arguably imbalanced.
A good expansion for a good game is worth a game full retail price.
How does the PC game industry and DLCs work? Are DLCs addons free in other games?
Are DLCs on discount during the sales?
--------
The DLC expansion is optional content, You "do not have a duty" to buy it.
Also got stabbed in the eye. Quite an expensive trip.
