I'm having a similar problem, the game is using 100% of my GPU, but it's only using 8% of my CPU, my FPS stays around 20 during games even on the low setting.
I have a 9th generation i5, a GTX 1650 video card, and 16g of RAM.
My FPS drops for around a few minutes in an online match.

I found that FPS drops after moving to the second era

Game insists I am offline in the Profile Page and won't let me link to my xbox profile, saying cannot link while offline, while the very same panel shows me as Online with the little green light. This seems to be new. I have been able to link in the past, but not anymore.
Well, since this isn't likely to get fixed, maybe I should simply accept it and get used to it

Just downloaded the game after some months of break from it, worked fine before. Now it's horrible lag, looks like i'm running it on the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC for it. (Running it with a laptop AMD ryzen 7, geforce RTX 4070, 16RAM). Game has been driven into a pretty bad shape seems like

Daily missions straight up do not work.
(I almost always play vs AI and it did used to work)
i just had to fish 1000 food, make 30 cav and bless 30 villagers, nothing worked
ps: Malian mission with making food from cattle ranges never worked, i could make 10k food and it never worked...

Just played my first 4v4 after the update. Performance got much worse.

Is anyone else having major performance issues since the update? Before i was playing at ~70fps, now 5-15fps, huge input lag as well in engame(30-60sec).
3070Ti, 2600X, 32GB ram. Restarting the game every time before playing seems to somewhat work. GPU is always 100% working.

fatal issue with update 10.1.48
once you try to change your icon, flag or monument, it causes a 99% FPS drop.
don't stay more than 5s on your profile page or try to change any setting for profile until it fixed.
