Game is extremely lag and taking 100% cpu after the update

Same issue. Update broke the game on older GPUs, despite them running perfectly fine before the update.

I got 1080Ti, can 100% confirm that newest update broke performance

I contacted the developers on the aoe4 website. I got in return the crappy instructions that are already on the site. They told me to uninstall and reinstall the game... Nothing works. I will ask for a refund for the game. It worked very well before. An update must not compromise the computer's prerequisites for purchasing the game.

-** [Crash] Failed to Find Supported Rendering Device or Black Screen on Launch** - We are adjusting some settings and testing against some of the video cards you've been kind enough to call out
- **Lagging & FPS issues** - Note that this is a wider bucket, and we'll be introducing a number of fixes. Following the hot fix, we would still encourage you to write in with any specific details related to FPS issues.

These changes need to be tested thoroughly against a wide range of hardware and configurations. We're planning to release these fixes next week to allow for proper testing time.

We are continuing to investigate sporadic issues with publishing new mods and would appreciate additional reports and information pertaining to platform (Steam or MS Store) this week as we continue our investigation!
