General information AOE4

Hello all,

Before buying the game I just have some general questions
What is the maximum population setting in the game (without cheat codes or 3rd party programs) ?
what is the maximum maps size ? is it automatically set based on the number of players like AOE3 or is there a choice to play with "Ludicrous" map size like AOE2 definitive Edition?

you can set any map size but number of players has a minimum size.

pop is 200 normally, but you just go to mods section and get 1 of the various mods or tuning packs, click it, done. Then you can go up to 1 or 4 thousand, i can't remember. There could be even bigger ones out there.

I understand the the population answer you gave me
But the map size I did not undersand
What I mean is this, in AOE2 you can choose only 1 AI player for example but also you can choose ludicrous large maps
In AOE3, you can't choose the map size, if you choose 1 AI you get small maps, and 8 AI you get large maps
So is AOE4 like AOE2 or AOE3 when it comes to maps/players settings?

but there is a minimum size. so you can't have 4 players but choose a map size less than 4 player size.

yes absolutely, but you can have 2 players on the largest biggest map, right ?

in skirmish or MP mode, You set map size - so You can have 2 players on small map or largest biggest map
