why 4?
i tried it now in the free week, wow, game is so fast, i can barely process everything. i think even age 3 is easier, and that game is fast, i'm used to age 2 lol. It looks like they got the age 3 unique factions with the timeline of age 2(medieval) with 3x speed and
it became age 4.

Not some handcannon nonsense that get killed faster by a mangonel then a cannon.

Faction is way more unique for AOE3 too.
More faction for AOE3 as well.

tbh I feel the complete opposite. dark age may be over faster in 4, but when playing 2 on regular speed settings, it feels way too fast for me personally, from gathering, to movement, to research/production times.

4 just feels like a fresh modern take on the genre which i really enjoy. i know most people consider 2 the king of aoe. yes, its probably the most iconic rts ever made, but when removing the nostalgic glasses, it definitely has its flaws imo.

but in the end everyone should just play what he enjoys the most :)

I feel 4 is a hybrid of AOE2 and warcraft3. As I wanted to try out WC3 but then came reforged it was a welcome take.
However they should dim the lighting, the colors are too bright. New biome looks like wc3 11.

i played alot of w3, i love w3, help me on this. What features do you think aoe4 has that are similar of w3? It has hero units? leveling up? units with skills and passives?

Age 4 is the best, IMO, subjective reasoning behind:

Age 4: Because simple and easy to learn
Age 2: Because deep and complex, with many civs.
Age 3: Because of nice water & fire graphics, different kind of fish
Age 1: Because: It was revolutionary, but the series has been improved.
Age M: Because Don´t like fantasy creatures, doesnt mean its a bad RTS though.
Age O: Because I simply never liked it from the beginning ;)
