Translating messages from teammates

Playing mostly team games, I get a lot of teammates, who don't write in english and often use foreign characters (like cyrillic or asian). Sadly, I only understand german and english. But I often want to know what they are writing, out of curiosity.
For that I use "Google Lens". I use my phone to take a picture and Lens translates it. That's ok.
But is there a better way to do that?

i honestly don't know why relic doesn't keep players in the same regions. I'd rather wait an extra 3 minutes to find a match with people who speak the same language.

Well, I'm from europe. Their are people with all kinds of languages on european servers anyway. I don't have a problem with that. Most of the time, pings are enough to communicate.
I also love, that I can play with people from all parts of the world in AoE4. And I barely feel any lag.

I just don't understand why people don't speak english in online games, even so they can.
A few games ago, we had an asian teammate who wrote a lot of stuff in his language. It looked very interesting, but we could not understand him and I had no time to translate it with Lens (that's why I'm asking for a better/faster solution).
At the end, when he needed our help, he wrote in english.

i think final fantasy does an exceptional job with its translation system. would certainly be nice for aoe
